Pep Band Manager
Erik Hugel
The Pep Band Manager deals with all the administrative aspects of the band. The manager sets up road trips, picks up the hockey tickets, makes sure the band doesn't hurt the sieve's feelings too badly and deals with disgruntled rink managers. The manager also is keeper of the points and decides who gets into hockey games.....so you better be on his good side. The 2008 Pep Band Manager is Erik Hugel '09
Conductors
Justin Rosen and Zach "ShardZ" Glass
The conductors do exactly what the position implies.....conduct the band. The conductors lead the band at events, run rehearsals and like to think that the band listens to them and needs them to wave their arms around. The Spring '08 conductors are Justin Rosen '08 and Zach "ShardZ" Glass '09.
Treasurer
Miranda Reid
The treasurer's job is to organize the band's budget and ensure that band operates within that budget. The treasurer works with BRBAA and the SAFC so that the pep band has enough money to travel to the far off lands of Minnesota and Wisconsin (or whereever else the hockey team happens to be playing that year). This year's treasurer is Miranda Reid '10.
Secretary
Sam LoBosco
It is the job of the secretary to take minutes at pep band board meetings (which happen on such a regular basis....) and spam the band members' inboxes with reminders of rehearsals and events. Emails may also include game previews, analysis or just useless information. This year's secretary is Sam LoBosco '10.
Librarians
Jared Foelsch and Lisa Linde
The librarians photocopy and distribute new music to the band as well as make folders for new members. Obvously this is much easier in the fall semester when there is easy access to a photocopier in the band room. With the copy machine's mysterious disappearance each spring, the librarians are left to their own methods to get music out to everyone. The librarians are also in charge of schlepping the box of music folders to away games.This year's librarians are Jared Foelsch '10 and Lisa Linde '09.
Historian
Cathy Chen
The historian is responsible for taking pictures of the band atthe various events the band attends. She can usually be seen moving from spot to spot in the rink to get the perfect picture, as well as getting video of both the teams and the band. Serving her second term as historian is Cathy Chen '09.
Equipment Chairs/Czar and Czarina
Dan Gu and Becky Schur
Occasionally instruments tend to break. This is where the
equipment chairs come in. The equipment chairs are in charge of basic repair of instruments, sending out instruments for damage they can't fix and ordering parts. The 2008 equipment czar and czarina are Dan Gu '11 and Becky Schur '10
Fundraising
Sarah Gurney
No one really knows what the pep band fundraising chair does or how she comes up with the money she gets but funds are raised in some fashion (change on the band room floor?). This year's fundraising chair is Sarah Gurney '10.
